Willie Mae’s Pauses Restaurant Operations in Venice, CA

Dear Friends,

We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for all of your support and love for Willie Mae’s in Venice. It has been an incredible experience serving the community and sharing our passion for great food with you.

Due to the significant challenges we’ve faced—culminating with the recent fires but starting with the fire that burned down our New Orleans restaurant in 2023 that reopened just two months ago—we have made the difficult decision to pause our operations in Los Angeles and will begin winding down operations on February 16.

While this isn’t goodbye, we recognize that we need to take a step back and work on a more sustainable model that will allow us to thrive in this environment.  This is not the end of our journey in California, and we truly hope to return in a way that works better for both us and our incredible guests.

Thank you for being part of our Willie Mae’s family. Stay tuned for updates, and we hope to see you again soon!
